CISM Americas Overview
The Americas is an important continent to CISM even featuring a modest number of 18 member nations when compared with other continents. In order to face the challenges and the great responsibility of the Americas within CISM, we have held important events such as the World Military Championships, General Assemblies, Regional Development Centre and the 5th Military World Games, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 2011.
The CISM leadership in the continent has been engaged with the Chiefs of Delegations in representing and defending the interests of the Americas for the progress of military sports. Hence, possible obstacles can be successfully surpassed through hard work and genuine and joint efforts towards common goals.
Our mission is simple – to visualize new ideas and work hard in our projects in order to achieve the CISM goals.
It is our belief that each organization is defined by its values. Thus we share the following core values:
We maintain a strong mutually cooperative and responsible relationship with the member nations of other continents to achieve a specific common goal.
We firmly believe that communication is the key to perfect collaboration between the CISM member nations. We have succeeded because we listen. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, we will always value your comments and feedback.
We follow the Americas Business Plan whose purpose is to establish our direction in accordance with the CISM objectives and its policy. This framework defines the sets of the strategic objectives based on the current strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
